Terrasphere North / dense-woods

The scenery that @Away Team Three now found itself in was a dense rainforest, surrounded by trees on all sides. There was no end in sight to the trees, and indeed, it seemed that they extended forever... or at least to the edge of the Terrasphere.

[Comms] "All away teams from the Eventide. We’re picking up that three of the generators have gone down now, well done! Our scans are showing that the holo-shielding around the central area – the bit that looks like it houses the prisoners – has gone down. Can you guys head straight there? We should take the opportunity to get them out now, just in case they try to fix the place before we can even get there."

As the scenery fell apart around them and debris started flying everywhere Elwyn held onto the little ship model for dear life, watching as the ceiling of the museum fell towards them. Closing their eyes they waited for impact, only for impact to never come. Opening one eye slowly, and then the other, the android looked around the newly created rainforest, and then down at their hands, the ship model in their grasp as it started drizzling with rain and the air became humid. Sighing yet another sigh of relief, they stuffed the ship into the one remaining pouch they had with nothing in it, before bringing their rifle around to their front as they listened to the communication. Turning to face the group to see if anyone had been injured, they waited for someone more senior to respond to the comm, not wanting to tread on any toes.

Vovvi would have liked to say she held steady to her nerves as everything began crashing down, but she certainly did not. She squeezed both eyes shut and braced for an impact that never came. The rain was soothing at least.. [COMMS] "Aye, sir, we'll get right to it." she let out a breath, straightening her posture. "Is everyone alright?" Her gaze flickered to each member of the team, checking them over mentally.

Ezran looked up slightly confused, it seems like the roof had disappeared? Because there was no suddenly rain, he closed his eyes, trying to focus his telepathy out to see what around him, but nope... It's kind of like the museum had vanished slightly and they were outside now. Suddenly a lot more humid and... Wet? "...What just happened? Did the roof dematerialise?"

"Switched terrains, by the looks of it. Rainforest," Vovvi replied, brows furrowing a little. "Is it-- is it real this time, or do they have an emergency backup generator...?"

Elwyn nodded in response to Vovvi’s question. “I’m okay.” ’Okay’ was relative when you expected to be crushed under a roof about ten seconds ago. Pulling their tricorder off their belt once more with one hand, the other grasping their rifle, they began scanning to try and find the direction they needed to head in to get to the prisoners. “I don’t know if this place is real or not, but I’m going to take a guess that it probably isn’t, which only makes it more dangerous.”

Vara'l snapped his phaser up as he allowed his tricorder to keep up its scans. As he did so he remained deadly silent, his face the slightly pale tint of someone who'd been firmly forced into the instinctual responses of a trained soldier. That being due to the fact he'd almost been...or at least it had looked like he had almost been squished. "..That wasnt fun." He mumbled as he checked his tricorder. (edited)

"Right, then. Our orders are to get there right away, so..." Vovvi drew her own phaser and started to move, gesturing for everyone to follow. "Keep an eye out -- or your telepathy, I suppose. Stay on your toes. Stay close together." (edited)

Vara'l continued to listen out for proximity chimes through his processors from his tricorder as he moved with the group. He happened to have just remembered they had been at a museum so reckoned those chimes might not be long in coming, something that had also caused him to hold his phaser at the ready as he'd moved.

As they started walking southward towards the centre, the terrain got more and more unforgiving as they continued. While before, the woods had been dense, now people had to walk almost single-file to be able to make a proper way through the rainforest. Every so often, big insects buzzed by, dragonflies the size of one's forearm hovering over the ground to signify the presence of a stream nearby. In the trees, the screeching of bats could be heard, and from all around the singing of crickets surrounded them. While this looked for a large part like a rainforest on Earth, the animals were all far far bigger than Earth animals. Still, nothing especially dangerous was happening, and since they knew where to go, they arrived at the #northern-cave-structure without too much hassle.

He remembered his time surviving in the desert, not because this place reminded him of it, but because it was the polar opposite. The closest he'd ever been to a rainforest was a particularly rainy day in England. With the others, he walked until he reached #northern-cave-structure.

Keeping up with the others and moving through the rainforest, the strange Earth-like insects were nice to look at, but Elwyn couldn't help but worry about if any of them would try to attack the group. What was also nice was the drizzle on their face. Humidity had never bothered the android, nor dry air, it was simply an experience they experiened. They entered the cave structure with the rest, tricorder now back on their belt and rifle at the ready.

Vara'l followed the others into the cave system. While there was a part of his mind that considered what he had just experienced and the like, training and other factors had allowed him to push the initial surprise and panic response he'd experienced away in favour of trained calm. His eyes careful as he explored their surroundings and searched for contacts as he entered the cave system with the others.

The large man took up position at the back of the group, partly to keep an eye out from behind, partly to block any incoming shots with his sheer size. Perks of being a small mountain of a man.
